La Velona Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2004 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Beautiful cherry liquor and woody notes on the nose

Full bodied and dense on the palate

Long, layered finish of cherry, spice, and coffee

Summary:

This Brunello riserva has all the right stuff. It's densely packed with a lot of layers and should have many good years to come. If you drink it now, decant it and give it as much air as possible. For $50, this is a treat to be savored with good food and great people. Thanks to PB for a special bottle. Raise a glass!
