Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Rich black cherry and vanilla nose
Blackberry on the palate
Moderately tannic finish with anise and cocoa

At the bottom of my tasting notes, I wrote "this is a decent wine- actually very Cabernet-like". I can't complain when a wine at least has varietal characteristics. This bottle tasted well-made, real, and very much like Cab should taste.

According to the winery, it's a blend of grapes sourced from three areas: Napa- 36%, Mendocino- 34%, and Sonoma- 30%. Although towards the bottom of KJ's line-up, this wine disappeared quickly even with some wine afficionados in the room. It also paired well with our steak dinner. For $15 or so, raise a glass!
