Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava NV Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Nose of apples and sugar

Yeasty on the palate

Clean, fresh finish

Light on the bubbles, but nicely sparkling

This Spanish wine is a surprisingly nice bubbly. Because it has a little sweetness but remains dry, it's a versatile wine. I would pair this with a wide assortment of appetizers to start the evening.

You'll find this wine almost everywhere. It's extremely affordable (approximately $9/bottle) and provides a nice alternative to other sparkling wines. Raise a glass!
