Buil & Gine Joan Gine Gine Priorat 2001 Wine Review (NW)

Tasting notes:

Cola, cherry, and smoke on the nose

Red berries on the palate

Finishes somewhat flat, with sour fruit and more smoke

Maybe a bad botttle? This wine tastes flat and a little off-putting. There are some lively aromas on the nose, but it finishes with sour fruit and just seems odd.

If it's not a bad bottle, then it's just a bad wine. While I can't confirm that, it would be really disappointing because I like the 2000 a lot. My recommendation is to be careful with this selection. If you're looking for a Priorat from Spain, grab something else in the 2001's. Then raise a glass of that!
